Program Overview

Six Paths of Traditional Training

Our programs are organized into six complementary training paths. Students can focus on one area or combine programs as their experience grows.

  1. Tai Chi, Qigong & Meditation — breath, balance, mobility, posture, calm focus, and mindful movement.
  2. Sanda & Sparring — Chinese kickboxing, footwork, combinations, pads, conditioning, defence, and controlled partner practice.
  3. Fist Forms — traditional empty-hand forms, applications, coordination, power generation, rhythm, and precision.
  4. Traditional Weapons — safe, progressive study of staff, spear, broadsword, straight sword, and methods from the classical 18-weapon tradition.
  5. Flipping, Tumbling & Coordination — agility, safe falling, body control, balance, flexibility, and performance movement.
  6. Lion Dance, Dragon Dance & Performances — teamwork, rhythm, cultural performance skills, coordination, and community demonstrations.

Mind & Body

Tai Chi, Qigong & Meditation

This program develops balance, mobility, posture, breath control, and calm concentration through Tai Chi, Qigong, standing practice, mindful movement, and meditation.

Training is progressive and accessible, helping students build relaxed strength, coordination, body awareness, and a steadier connection between movement and breath.

Focus: balance, mobility, breathing, posture, relaxation, and mindful concentration.

Combat Training

Sanda & Sparring

Sanda combines practical striking, movement, defence, combinations, pad work, and conditioning. Sparring is introduced progressively through controlled drills that develop distance, timing, confidence, and safe partner awareness.

Students learn to apply technique under pressure while respecting their partners and maintaining control.

Focus: footwork, combinations, pads, conditioning, defence, timing, and controlled sparring.

Tradition, Movement & Performance

Fist Forms, Weapons & Cultural Arts

Fist Forms: traditional empty-hand sequences that develop power, precision, coordination, rhythm, and practical understanding of movement.

Traditional Weapons: progressive study of safe handling, fundamentals, and forms using staff, spear, broadsword, straight sword, and other methods represented in the classical 18-weapon tradition.

Flipping, Tumbling & Coordination: agility, safe falling, body control, balance, flexibility, and dynamic performance movement.

Lion Dance, Dragon Dance & Performances: teamwork, rhythm, cultural expression, coordinated movement, and skills used in demonstrations and community celebrations.

From Practice to Performance

Kung Fu training grows through many connected experiences: quiet internal practice, focused partner work, traditional forms, classical weapons, athletic movement, and cultural performance. Explore how Sanda and weapons training turn strong fundamentals into confident, expressive skill.
